The scent.
BLV eau de Parfum II by Bvlgari perfume unfolds an electrifying scent with a sparkling top note of violets, and also delivers a slight, fleeting hint of star anise and an interpretation of licorice. This adds tactfully together, and seasons the scent with fresh, tangy, frosted mandarin. BLV Eau de Parfum II has a very special elegance and exoticism that lends to it‘s brilliant scent. Even before developing the base notes, the intense fragrance of patchouli comes to the forefront. BLV Eau de Parfum II – The Inspiration
“The universe of BLV Eau de Parfum II for me lies in the range of transparency,” says perfumer Jacques Cavallier of the master. When I created this new fragrance, I wanted to create a large perfume. A scent that is not based on transparency of the 1990s, but one that has the values of the Bulgarian style, such as diversity, charisma and absolute perfect transportation. A positive, reassuring fragrance of opposites together: fresh and natural on one side and intense on the other side. From the beginning I said that the fragrance exudes a tenderness that speaks to all women. A perfume that also embodies the eternal feminine. So I took Ambergris, or rather a perfume complex which I call “Amber Sand”, and musk. Then I added star anise to give it a light sparkle, fresh violets, and a complex, reminiscing scent of fresh dew. These elements make for a taste that is fresh, and a form that is animated to contrast the whole fragrance. While I was working on the perfume, I thought of the little prince who is always in search of the simple things. In reality, however, these thing are completely real and elemental. I wanted a fragrance that we could bring back to our essential values, a property that has been lost to most of the perfume industry today. I also wanted another statement … For this reason, this creation is based on very basic things, the foundation of  perfumes: ambergris, iris, musk, woods, patchouli, violets. All the basic ingredients of the perfume industry, which could be processed thanks to new technologies for the occasion in a whole new way. And of course, I have the heritage of the past 20 years – and the resulting transparency – as well as the motivating force of any initial inspiration and the work that has been done with science contributed to this. The approach of a scientist and a perfume expert in personal union were my role model. Naturally, this allowed me to create an elegant, highly refined fragrance for Bvlgari
